Cursor is the better tool if you want AI working in your codebase — agents, multi-file edits, reviewable diffs. Copilot is the better deal if you want AI assisting your typing — unlimited completions at $10 inside the editor you already use. Different jobs. Price them that way.
The June 2026 shift changed the math
Copilot moved every plan to usage-based billing on June 1, 2026.
